What About Your Friends

You know as you grow older you really began to analyze past, present and future relationships.

One thing that has always been a big similarity in my relationships is the ability to sustain true and meaningful friendships.

So many people come and go out of your life. Most of the time you take it with a grain of salt and say “It is….what it is.”

Sometimes relationships just fizzle out, lose its momentum and the commonalities that were shared are no longer there so the relationship becomes more work than flow.

I said all that to say my most rewarding relationships have been the ones that time, place, nor circumstances can come in between what you have. People move, change, get married/divorced, have children, suffer loss but through it all you manage to still hold strong and nothing breaks the tie that binds.

I’m reminded of the story in the Bible of the paralyzed man lying on the mat. He had at least 3 – 5 crazy friends that were willing to go to great lengths to get their friend healed.

Think about the man is sick. No doubt probably discouraged and somewhat distraught at his situation, but because of the courage of his friends they climbed the roof of the house where Jesus was to get their friend healed.

But the key to this whole story was when Jesus said to the paralyzed man “Because of THEIR faith, He said ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven’.”
Jesus did not say because of the faith of the man lying on the mat. He said because of the faith of your friends your sins are forgiven. WOW!!

At the end of the day ladies, who you choose as your friends does matter. Take a lesson from the paralyzed man. Your friends need to be:

  • Radical
  • Creative
  • Relentless
  • A Little Crazy
  • And unwavering in their Faith
Love You My Sisters!!!!

Don’t Go to War without knowing who is on your side.

The Joy of Winning through the Pain of Struggle

One of the masteries of success is the ability to focus on the goal ahead. Focusing on the goals and the desired outcome of every endeavor that you have set your heart and mind to acheive. What is the desired results that you would like to accomplish? What is the thing that you would most like to see acheived in your life, if money were no object? Sometimes we get so focused on the "HOW" that we talk ourselves out of the "WHAT". In my life I have set major goals that human reasoning can not comprehend. Why not set the mark high? Why be modest in my desires? God promised me that he would give me the desires of my heart. Not anyone elses heart. If they desire mediocrity then go ahead. I dare to believe that God is able to do above all that I can ask or think. That lets me know that if I think high and set and focus on what the world calls impossible God has promised to out do THAT! WOW! I'm reminded of these famous words
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frighten us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

So go out and do what GOD has gifted you to do and be and if you have not discovered that gift then began to seek the gift giver. God promises us that our gifts will make room for us.
